This series was born from a seemingly simple gesture: a return to analog photography. This quickly became a necessary brake. The camera’s technical limitations forced me to abandon the reflex of capturing the moment and to ask myself, instead, what I seek in the first place. Photography is, for me, a productive paradox. It documents reality and interprets it simultaneously, turning each image into a negotiation between what exists and what the mind chooses to see.
The underlying theme of this series is perception itself – the mechanism by which we complete, project, and invent the world around us, often without being aware that we are doing so. Visual ambiguity here is not an aesthetic effect, but the very substance of this inquiry.
The series is proposed not as a closed or unique narrative, but as an invitation for the viewer to create their own interpretation, their own story, based on their own biography of looking. Starting from several pictures from the series, the viewer can add their own mental images and turn this experience into a form of therapy and an open dialogue — I intended the series to be the elephant that no one can grasp at a single glance, and which needs, precisely for that reason, all the blind men together.

Cette série est née d’un geste en apparence simple : un retour à la photographie argentique. Ce choix s’est rapidement imposé comme un frein nécessaire. Les contraintes techniques de l’appareil m’ont obligé à délaisser le réflexe de capturer l’instant pour me demander ce que je recherche véritablement. Pour moi, la photographie constitue un paradoxe fécond : elle documente la réalité tout en l’interprétant, faisant de chaque image une négociation entre ce qui existe et ce que l’esprit choisit de voir.
Le thème sous-jacent de cette série est la perception elle-même : ce mécanisme par lequel nous complétons, projetons et inventons le monde qui nous entoure, souvent sans même en avoir conscience. Ici, l’ambiguïté visuelle ne relève pas de l’effet esthétique, mais constitue la substance même de cette exploration.
Cette série ne se présente pas comme un récit clos ou unique, mais comme une invitation faite au spectateur de construire sa propre interprétation, sa propre histoire, en s’appuyant sur son propre parcours visuel. À partir de quelques clichés de la série, le spectateur peut y associer ses propres images mentales et transformer cette expérience en une forme de thérapie et en un dialogue ouvert. J’ai conçu cette série à l’image de l’éléphant qu’aucun regard ne peut saisir dans sa totalité et qui nécessite, précisément pour cette raison, la réunion de tous les aveugles.
