don’t look

The camera is often associated with the eye, rightfully so as photography primarily reflects the artist’s gaze. Here, I play with the avoidance of the model’s gaze, despite the proliferation of eyes everywhere, on the body, on the leaves, challenging the photographic cyclops. Who is being looked at? Who is subject to the petrification of the gaze? Trying to break free from fixation… Don’t look questions this impossibility.
